I clearly recall the day our sweet little Grand Girl was splashing in a puddle. . . wearing her PINK dress and shoes!
Today. . . I have the honor of attending Grandparents Day at her school. Our Grand Girl is now in first grade. WHERE did the time go?
I'm also looking forward to this. . .getting up at 4:30 in the morning!!! I know, I know. . .I'm nuts!! At the beginning of the summer I would never have thought I'd be looking forward to doing this, but. . .
thanks to these awesome friends. . .we've been doing just that for months now!! As part of our training plan to run a half marathon in October, we meet up (in the dark!!) so we can get our long runs in before it gets so hot!!
Last Saturday, we did our longest run. . .10 miles!!! I'm in the middle. . .in PINK!!
We are planning on run/walking the 13.1 mile distance of the half-marathon by using intervals of 3 min. running and 1 or 2 min. walking!
Here's little Twiggy admiring the awesome magnet I received for signing up early for the half marathon!! :)
She's looking forward to me reaching that goal, too!!
I have to say, with the HOT temps we've had lately, I'm really looking forward to cooler weather! However, I'm not ready for Christmas...but it looks like my holly bushes are!! I hate it when the berries turn red in September. . .they become "tempting" for the local birds!!
THE STONE RABBIT, and his little concrete buddies, are still enjoying the beautiful plants we have on our porch. They say they're looking forward to cooler weather, too, but they don't want to lose their gorgeous floral shade just yet!!
Something I always look forward to is PINK SATURDAY....and thanks to Beverly of HOW SWEET THE SOUND, it's that time again!! Please visit her blog to find a long list of others who are ready to share their PINKS with you again this week!
