The days before Christmas are crazy busy and filled with so much "to do" .
We enjoy special outings with special people. . .
and everywhere you look we are reminded of what we "need" to do in such a short amount of time. Santa is "hanging" out in all sorts of places. . .even in the drive thru of the car wash!!
He's even seen at the local Chick-fil-a. . .waving at those driving by. . .hoping they'll stop by and have a bite to eat or purchase a gift card or two!!
We head out at night and fight the traffic on the roads and in the stores to finish (or start) our shopping.
But attending my 4 year old grandboy's Christmas program (he's on the stage which is on the left of this picture) truly brought me back into the focus of the season. Those little ones are sweet and innocent and music never sounds better than when it's sung by those young voices.
My little 2 year old grandboy checked out Mr. and Mrs. Santa as they paid a surprise visit to the preschoolers!! He seemed pretty interested in looking from afar, but he isn't excited about sitting on his lap and having a picture taken at this point!
We are about to light the fourth candle on the Advent wreath, which means the day we celebrate the birth of our Lord is very near. The important focus of the Season gets lost in all of the hustle and bustle . . .and I'm super guilty of letting the "reason for the season" slide as I do all of the "things" I think are important and less of what is important. Leave it to a group of 3 and 4 year olds, and their Christmas Program, to serve as the perfect and most touching reminder about what is important!
THE STONE RABBIT and I wish you a merry and blessed Christmas. . .and so does little Twiggy Cat!!
