Happy Pink Saturday, Dana. We are big time recyclers, and we have been for a very long time. We have been lucky to live in cities that are very conducive to recycling.

We have a pick-up every two weeks. Our city has large blue cans that we roll out to the curb. Years ago we had separate bins for different types, but we no longer have to separate. And, we are able to recycle so many things - magazines, newspapers, mail, plastics, glass, metal, styrofoam, cardboard - even things like cereal boxes and plastic bags. Our recycle can is always stuffed, and our trash can gets barely one quarter full. We wish they picked up recycle every week and trash every two weeks instead of the reverse which they do now.

Happy pinks, and happy earth day.
We have a pick up every two weeks, with no need to separate. You've done a great job.
Love that rabbit! :)

Your header with SR hiding out, esp. among the blue birds, is adorable.

Hi Dana, We take all of our garbage and recycling to a dumping station. We do recycle but are far from perfect as well. There is no pickup service in the mountains. Only in town. We also have to keep our garbage in the garage because of bears. We are used to it and the beautiful mountain view is worth the trouble. We are 16 miles from town and the nearest grocery store is about 12 miles. Needless to say, we try not to run out of anything between trips to town. Thank goodness my sisters are close so we borrow from each other.

I would have thought that you would have recycling pickup where you live. I just heard that recycling is not a money making process. Too much work but a worthy thing to do and it keeps people employed. They are working on speeding up the process. Separating items is the most time consuming problem. Nothing is easy.

We saw the new movie Jungle Book and we really enjoyed it. To celebrate our 53rd anniversary we also went to Cafe Rel for dinner. Nice.

Before you know it we will be in MO. Looking forward to seeing you Dana. We will arrive on May 24th and we will be there a week. Then we will go to Houston to see Lily Mae. No flooding where our grandson lives.

Have a wonderful week.
Love, Jeanne

Happy Pink Satruday
We only recycling for the grass clippings, I do think they should do it here.
I'm working on my blog forgive my mess
Hope your week is fun
Laura

Good for you for taking the time and effort to recycle. Fortunately our city has recycle collection every other week. We can recycle paper, plastic, and glass all in the same container. They make it easy for us!
Happy Weekend!
