Don't you just love a reason to have a little gathering of your special friends? I do and St. Patrick's Day is certainly one swell reason to call some of those buddies and say, "Hey, ya wanna come over for a little Breakfast of Green?"
Our gathering was planned at the last minute, but my buddies pooled their talents and creativity to help make the event a special one!
Bonnie brought a festive bow tie for THE STONE RABBIT to wear in honor of the Greeness of the Event! Afterall, the rest of us were wearin' our green, too!!!
We had LOTS of greenish food to help celebrate St. Patrick's Day!
Raylene brought Kiwi Fruit!
Bonnie made yummy Green Biscuits--from scratch!
Sandra brought delicious Kobe House poviticia ----not green, but heavenly!!!
Patty added Green Grapes and - - - - -
Green Cookies!
In the foreground, you can see the delicious Gooey Butter Cake made by Laura and the glasses of mimosas (yes, the OJ had received a bit of green!) made by Mary!
The butter laden objects at the top of this plate are the Green Pancakes I made. I also pulled a Christmas ham out of the freezer and warmed it to the point of nearly turning it Green. However, we had to have the ham to go with the Green Eggs!
THE STONE RABBIT sang "When Irish Eyes are Smiling" with great gusto---he has a bit of Irish blood in him, you see!
We also took turns sharing Irish Toasts and Blessings---while enjoying those mimosas AND Irish coffees. Then we were ready to - - - - -
get in line for our very own St. Patrick's Day Parade!!! What a fine stroll it was on such a glorious, WARM day!!! See how GREEN our grass is turning--just in time for the special day!
Ah, yes, in deed! 'Twas a grand old time we had at our Breakfast of Green!!!
I will leave you with this little Irish thought:
May you live a long life, full of gladness and health, with a pocket full of gold, as the least of your wealth!!!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
DANA
I had to come see what the stone rabbit was doing for St Patrick's day! Have a great day!

I love a parade...can you hear me clapping as the breakfast club passes by? Everything looks so delicious including the SR in his green bowtie. Thank you so much for the invitation. I had planned to come but had to work at the JunQue with a Q sale! Well, I'm off to have a green beer for breakfast since I'm a wee bit Irish, too! xoxo Nancy
