Do you have any of these glasses?
I 'd been looking at them in our local Bed, Bath and Beyond store for sometime. In fact, I gave one to a friend for her birthday, but had never given myself one.....cuz they're pricey. HOWEVER, when I was recently on a Birthday Road Trip with my friends Marian and Bonnie, I saw a display of tempting crystal clear plastic in one of the stores we visited and I decided it was time to give myself a TERVIS TUMBLER! Happy Birthday to ME!!
So what's so great about a TERVIS TUMBLER, you ask? Wellllllllll, they:
*have been constructed in the USA since 1946.
*are made from heavy duty, double-walled plastic which helps to keep hot things hot and cold things cold....that also helps reduce condensation and rings!!
*are dishwasher AND microwave safe!
*come with lots of design insert choices or YOU can create your own!!
* are guaranteed for LIFE!
*come in different sizes, plus they make mugs and ice buckets!!!
OK! I'll stop with the sales pitch. I knew I would buy this particular tumbler when . . . . .
I saw THIS!!!
YIPPEE!!
I was certain my liquid refreshment would be so much better when sipped from a TERVIS TUMBLER sporting a PINK Lizzy logo!!!
Since I brought it home, I HAVE enjoyed many a great drink from my TERVIS TUMBLER.
On this day, I decided to head to the patio and fix myself one of my favorite summery drinks. I've enjoyed this particular refreshment many times over the years, but did not know it actually had a special name until my friend Mary Ann ordered it at a restaurant. We all looked at her when she told the waitress she wanted an "Arnold Palmer"........."A whaaaaaat?" we simultaneously asked.
Yep, I'm fixing an "Arnold Palmer" today.
First, I placed of ice in my glass TERVIS TUMBLER! Then I added iced tea- - -about half a glass. Next. . . . .
I poured lemonade to the top of the glass!! Of course, since it's PINK SATURDAY, I used PINK lemonade!!
There you have it!!! A yummy "Arnold Palmer" in a great PINK MIZZOU glass. . . .a TERVIS TUMBLER!
PINK CHEERS to all of you!
THE STONE RABBIT loves the special lid I purchased to go on my TERVIS TUMBLER!!!
The lid turns that dandy glass into a great travel cup. . . .you can even put a straw in the little hole . . . .
for even greater sipping ease! See, now it's just the perfect height for him!!
THE STONE RABBIT attracts a crowd when he enjoys his "Arnold Palmer" from the TERVIS TUMBLER! He's such a good buddy because he always shares, too !!! Right after I took this picture he asked if I would go inside and get a straw for each of his pals. . . .he's very germ conscious!
PINK CHEERS to you and have a great Pink Saturday, too!!
Be certain to visit Beverly's, at HOW SWEET THE SOUND, to find loads of blogs with more PINKS to share!!
I visited a great blog this week. LaVerne is the creator of RIVERSIDE STUDIOS. Once I read her post and some of the items on her sidebars, I knew I had been to her blog before. LaVerne had a beautifully written post last Saturday about "the Pink state of mind" . . . .when we recognize the blessings we have in life. She is actually a dear friend of Nancy of MY CRAFTY LITTLE PAGE-----one of my longtime blogging buddies! LaVerne and Nancy are both talented ladies. They held an antique fair this Spring in their town of New Braunfels, Texas, and they create amazing paper designs (cards, books, and crowns to name a few!).
DANA
Great Post, Dana and the drink looks very refreshing! Happy Pink Saturday! I don't have a post up this week but am just stopping by some of my favorite blogs.

Happy Pink Saturday, dear Dana.
I must confess I like your tumbler, but does in come with a pink Blue Devil? ;-)
Really, I think one of those would be great for work. I'm always having to put something under my glass on my desk. And, you can even get a lid. Great idea! I'll be on the lookout.
Thanks for linking to your buddies. They do both have fantastic blogs.

Oh yes! Arnold Palmer's...I'm guessing your friend might have a golfing background or closely associated with someone who does? I peeked down at the rooster post as well and I just howled. I can only imagine your neighbors peeking out their window, one motioning for the other family members to come quick...and using words like "look what she's doing now"......!! PRICELESS.

LOL, you got me....when I first started reading I thought you were referring to eye glasses. I thought she couldn't have found something better than her drug store glasses :)

Good morning Dana. I am always surprised by what you do next. Love the glass and I I have know about them for a long time. There is a place in Fl. that makes them, if it is the same company. A few years ago I went to the factory and bought six fruit glasses and two gator glasses. Also some small ones for my grands when they come. They were very costly but worth every penny, (I mean dollars) lol. They are without a doubt my favorite glasses to use here at home as they do not leave a ring and they stay cold longer. Awesome glasses. They have a lifetime guarantee.
Now I will try your tea lemonade. It sounds and LOOKS awesome. I also have th lids and straws, but I have never used them.
The stone rabbit pic is so cute. You do make me smile girl.
You noticed my cloches and tray. I will feature the tray later. I do love it.
Have a happy Pinkie kind of day.
Love, Jeanne

MADE IN AMERICA! That is a rare thing these days. I love the glass and the fact that it has a lid. I think I will head to my local Bed Bath and Beyond to see if they have them.

Glad you like these. I have just brought them into my store and awaiting to see how others like them! Have a great Pink Saturday crafting your next story!

I LOVE Tervis Tumblers! I refuse to drink out of anything else while I am at home. The don't sweat!!!! We discovered them many years ago while vacationing in Sarasota, FL. I believe their factory is right outside of Sarasota. A friend of ours gave us a set that have our monogram in them - she knew how much I love them. Happy PS!

Hey Dana!
I need to get out more often! I had no idea about the Tervis Tumblers! They sounds great. I love the fact that they are made in the USA!!!! Since the lead paint scare on children's toys I've been weary about buying anything from China that would we actually eat or drink from. I know I'm a nut but I want to be a healthy one! lol And since they are a heavy duty plastic my kids could actually use them and the lid is a plus! And the best thing for me would be that they can go in the dishwasher! lol I so don't like to wash things by hand. Thanks for sharing this great post!
Cheers to you and the Stone Rabbit!!!!
Happy Pink Saturday!!!

I have a similar tumbler, but it is not pink. Mine keeps the ice for hours. I understand why you enjoy yours so much. Nice feature for Pink Saturday.

I'm like you I keep passing those tumblers because they're a little pricy, but they can be hard to find. I guess I too should just buy one (or some). Your Arnold Palmer looks yummy!

I love anything pink! Cute post with the stone rabbit slurping his way to contentment! Happy Pink Saturday.

Hi! Love the pink straw! I never thought of putting lemonade with iced tea! How could I get so far in life and not know about that? I must have lived a deprived life. Well..now I know, and I am getting some lemonade this week at the store. Thanks!

What a surprise - I feel famous being mentioned on "The Stone Rabbit"! Thank you so much - you are a sweetie. I loved LaVerne's post on feeling pink, too.
Tervis tumblers? Love 'em and have had them in the past and I forgot about them...either they would end up broken or stolen by my kids. I Never, however, knew you could get a LID. I have to get one again because they are the best to take in the car to keep your drink cold. I drink ice tea and lemonade but never again...from now on I'm drinking Arnold Palmers! xoxo Nancy
PS. Is that Curly behind the SR? He's looking sort of sinister. I hope there's no trouble brewing amongst your stone family :(

Dana, thanks for the kind comments and sweet words today...I love your Stone Rabbit and her adventures with you.
I was thinking of you when Nancy and Jeff lost their dog, Lilly the First...I want to find a stone rabbit for her resting place. Lilly was so gentle and she never chased the rabbits that visited their yard.I remembered that Nancy had done that great Swine Flu post with the pink masks on Lilly and Stone Rabbit. We'll find the perfect rabbit for Lilly and send you pictures when we do. Thanks for stopping by. LaVerne in Texas

You certainly enlightened me today, Dana! I've never heard of this particular glass but it certainly has intrigued me enough to check it out tomorrow at BB&B. I need to purchase some pink lemonade concentrate so I can try what looks to be the very refreshing concoction you call the Arnold Palmer! Now as for that silly rabbit- when I saw that pink straw up by his lips(do rabbits HAVE lips?) I laffed right out loud!!! big hugs, Sue

Oh Dana!
I so love this post. I am going to check into getting me a Tervis Tumbler, as I have never heard of them before. Not to mention the fact that you found something that is still made in the good old USA. Imagine that? Now I haven't heard of an Arnold Palmer, but you can bet I am going to have one today. It sounds scrumptous, and if Stone Rabbit loved it, I know I will too. I so love to come here and see where the little stone rabbit has gone or what he is doing each week. Thank you so much for your creative way of bringing him into your world. He is truly loved. Please stop by and say hi. I would love to have you visit. Country hugs and love, Sherry

Hope you had a good weekend. What are you doing this week?

We won a Tervis tumbler (sort of a big mug with a handle) at a picnic and it sat for months in the box until I decided to open it and see what all the fuss was about. Wow, it really does keep cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot. Have a happy week, Dana! xo xo

Love your Pink Saturdays!
BTW, I saw the Texas Tenors on America's Got Talent tonight and they were awesome - I think they could go all the way!!
