Happy Pink Saturday to you!!!
Bonnie and I had a fun four day trip to the many Arts and Crafts Fairs in the War Eagle Area of Arkansas! My husband did a great job taking care of the kitties in my absence. . . I'm certain the PINK Post It Notes I left for him, as gentle little reminders, were a big help!!! I have one more super busy week getting ready for a sale, then I will have time to put together a post about our trip!
First today, I wanted to share a couple of photos of Jean of THE DAISY CHAIN. She was the winner of my 200th Post Giveaway! I challenged her to post a photo of her wearing the PINK prize. . . . and she did!!!
Jean is a golfer. . . I think she will be the envy of the other duffers when she shows up in that PINK sequined hat, don't you?
As I was doing our weekly grocery shopping in my favorite HY-VEE Store, I rounded a corner and this vision of lovely merchandising PINKNESS was waiting for me!!!
Wow! I was so happy I had my camera in my purse. . . it's not every day you run into a mountain of PINKS!!!!
It seems that the message of Breast Cancer Awareness, especially during the month of October, is certainly being heard by more and more companies. . . so many have joined in the battle to fight the disease by PINKING up some of their products and donating money to organizations such as "Susan G. Komen for the Cure" to help in research, education and treatment efforts.
Here are closeups of a few of the items offered for sale in their glorious PINKNESS that day!
In fact, that very morning as I was making my shopping list, THE STONE RABBIT reminded me that I needed to pick up a box of that yummy cereal. After all, the Grand Girl is coming over to spend the night with us this weekend and he knew she would be so sad if we didn't have any Cheerios in the pantry for her! Oh my goodness, we would NEVER intentionally do something to make her sad!!! Never, never, never!!! :)
This is how she likes to sit while she enjoys her Cheerios at our house. . . her balancing skills amaze me!
I pray that when she grows up, breast cancer will be a disease of the past and I . . . .
hope she will still enjoy a delicious bowl of Cheerios with her Nana now and then!
TO MY CYBER FRIEND, Terri:
you are in my thoughts and prayers as you fight this very battle right now. Armed with your physical and emotional strength, great sense of humor and extensive support system of family and friends-----you will be the winner in this fight.
Please visit Beverly, at HOW SWEET THE SOUND, for a long list of other bloggers with PINKS to share!
DANA

Happy Pink Saturday, my dear Dana.
Like you, it warms my heart to see the efforts put into this fight against breast cancer. I pray daily that a cure for all cancers is found soon. I know many people who dedicate their lives to finding these cures.
I will add your friend Terri to my prayer list.

Hi Dana - I'm just now reading last Saturday's post with this one! I'm in the same boat as you are - I manage to find time to do a little blogging and then don't have the time I'd like to visit everyone else. Hope your sales are going great - it looks like a LOT of hard work. Post some pics of what you're doing! xoxo Nancy

Hi Dana, I am in my PJ's watching the Gators play Miss. Right now we are losing. sigh.
A few hours ago we had 18 people for my birthday dinner. It is past my birthday but we waited for my out of town company. Everyone brought food. Wonderful!
I too am impressed with all the food out there supporting cancer awareness. I bought some this morning with the pink label. I didn't buy Cheerios although I do like them. Your grand girl has the prettiest hair ringlets. Adorable. Does she love her little brother yet? Big smile.
I hope your sale is a success Dana. I know you are working so hard on your sales. I am glad to be away from all that hard work. I miss the hunt though.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Love, Jeanne

Hi Dana, I was so pleased to get two visits from you on Sat. I didn't finish visiting everyone until late last night.
How many more shows will you be doing before Christmas Dana? I wish I could come and go to those shows. There just isn't much going on here like that. I guess our town is just too small. I did attend two craft shows and loved the great crafts displayed. I spent some money on some beautiful hand made notes hand painted water color flowers. Then the artist put names on the front. Beautiful! They will be gifts for my sisters.
Have a wonderful day.
Love, Jeanne

Good morning Dana, I am missing you. I am busy too. My company leaves tomorrow. I will miss them but I welcome some time to myself for a change. Then we leave on Friday for Fl again. What else, a football game. This time I am spending a week with my daughter in Jacksonville. Yes, a mini vacation. Bill will go home on Sun. and come back next Fri. for another game. Then home with our puppy which we will pick up on our way home in GA. We can't wait.
Hope your sales are going well Dana. Also I hope the weather is good. Today, lots of sunshine here. Yesterday, quack, quack!!!
Love, Jeanne
