I am sooooo sad.
It's the last season for "LOST". Oh, the agony. I don't know how I will be able to go on once that show is over!!!
You see, I have loved LOST from its very first episode six years ago.
The personalities of the plane crash survivors. The strange white bear, the evil black smoke, the weird "other" people on the island. ALL of the odd stuff that occurred . . . . and it was somehow all so connected.
I was hooked. They kept reeling me in year after year. . . even though I was totally "lost" most of the time as to what was actually going on in the episodes!
Last night, a particularly cold evening had settled in, so I lit the fire. THE STONE RABBIT, who was a little chilly too, joined me as we prepared to watch the weekly two hour event. He's been a fan from the beginning, too.
THANKFULLY, the first hour is devoted to showing us the episode that was on the previous week.
that the makers of LOST also include a little script that runs at the bottom of the screen. This script "reminds" us of former connections, events and some times explanations about the story line we're watching.
I love this. . . because, for me, it does help clear things up a bit.
For awhile.
Then the second hour comes on. . . the new show. . . and when we reach the end of it I find that I am once again. . . .
LOST!!!!!
But I love it!!!
DANA
So do I, Dana. And where did Jack's son come from? And who is his mother. And who can ever get enough of Sawyer? The second week it was on this season I forgot to watch it and not realizing that they were replaying the prior episode each week I was devastated...until I remembered you could watch them online! So, if, heaven forbid, you end up in an alternate timeline of your life some Tuesday...remember you can catch up online! I don't know what I'll do either when it ends...can't even think about it ;(

When Lost first came out, hubby and I BOTH loved it and were glued to it.
Then I got frustrated with the whole more questions and less answers thing - - - and stopped watching.
Hubs is still glued to it.

we love Lost here too. we have not seen one current episode yet! nathan was away in Texas when it came back on, and then the olympics started. the two weeks the olymics are on, i put all other tv on hold until they are over. so right now sitting in my tivo queue i have 4 brand new episodes of Lost waiting for us to watch! The olympics end this weekend, so next week we have A LOT of tv to catch up on!

I never watched it but my daughter and her friends all LOVE it and have LOST parties at each other's apartments when it is on.
They are also sad it's the last season.
I wonder how it will end?

Glad to see I'm not the only one "Lost" ;)
I agree, watching the repreat with subtitles is very informative, and then again...huh??? And how did Juliet know "it worked"
just before dying.

Okay, now you have "lost" me because I never watched the show. I know, I am probably one of the only one who did not. Somehow I just get involved in little projects and miss all of the shows on TV. By the time I get to bed the only thing on is infomercials. I end up popping in an "I Love Lucy" dvd.
Love,
Susan and Bentley

I too am a diehard Lost fan. But Tues night's show I was left shouting at the TV "Give us SOMETHING that we can understand!"
And then they did the promo for next week's show and said that they'd supply some answers. So I'm really looking forward to that.
PS - I'm in love with dark, brooding, mysterious, dangerous Sayid.

I'm not making a connection with you, Dana. I've never watched the show and don't like things that need to be explained.
However, I hope you find another LOST-type show to fill in your viewing gap once this one has ended.

I'm not LOST - well at least not like you are. I do sometimes feel lost in all I have to do.
Has it been canceled? Don't worry. I will shine a beacon of light for you.

Dana, I got hooked on this show from the very beginning too and the next morning I would talk to both my far away sons as to the meaning of what had happened on the show the night before and what it all meant. But, like you, I was "lost" half the time and finally got so fed up I left the show (like they cared) for a few weeks but curiosity got the better of me and I went right back to it. I wonder what's going on with Locke right now and oh how I will miss seeing my rough and dimpled cheeks Sawyer. Wonder if he will be on a new show. I sure hope so. xoxo Lynn

Dana, I'm a huge Lost fan as well! I'm with you - what will do without Lost? JJ Abrams has to come up with something new to challenge us. I love Fringe and FlashForward, but so far nothing can compare to Lost.
Thankfully I'm the moderator of a huge (5,000+) mailing list where we will be continuing to discuss Lost way past the final episode this May. And with the DVDs they will be there to be re-watched over and over again.

Hi Dana! I don't watch Lost, although I did watch it the first season. My former student is Yunjin Kim - I taught her at Boston University - she is truly a wonderful person. I also taught Cynthia Watros, who was on in the first or second season - also a BU alum. I used to tune in just to see them,
