With the sun shining brightly this morning, our frozen world springs to life in glistening beauty.
The "expanding" pole is in the "down" position. . . waiting for it's icy case to melt so a flag can be attached and lifted high! In the mean time, it too becomes part of our winter show.
Our young trees are decorated with little fingers of ice. . .
and the early buds are now tucked in frozen blankets.
The spirea proudly display their snowy and frosty coats, while . . .
Big Boy keeps his winter watch without complaint.
Inside, Frankie, THE STONE RABBIT, and Twiggy enjoy the February spectacle from their warm and cozy spot.
So do I!
Dana it looks like the North Pole where you are now! Love all the pretty icy trees. Stay safe and warm ..cuddle up with your kitties and the Stone Rabbit, of course!

Hi Dana! We are having some sunshine and some warmer temps here in Idaho. I'll try to send some your way and thaw you out! Until then stay cozy with Frankie and Twiggy and the Stone Rabbit. Beautiful pics.

Oh no Dana look at all of your ice. As long as you keep power and don't have to go anywhere it truly is beautiful!! We are right on a line to possibly get some snow tonight. Will we or won't we?...that is the question...lol.
Hope you Frankie, Twiggy and the Stone Rabbit stay nice and warm in you winter wonderland.♥

Brrrr. Dana. We are expecting another round of snow too. Not as much, but ice will be a bad side effect. Your icy yard is a sign that spring is taking it's time. Darn!
Love the photo of Twiggy, the Stone Rabbit and Frankie checking out the winter day. I didn't meet Frankie did I?
Time for lunch. Tuna plain...diet time. Christmas cookies have been very hard on me. Smile.
Love ya, xoxo, Jeanne

Oh wow! That's some MAJOR icing.
We were supposed to get snow, but it rained and was too warm to freeze - - - so we got NADA of a winter nature here this weekend.

Geez, Dana - That looks miserable but you make it sound so poetic! As I write this I'm watching our weather report and it's possible we could get snow and ice tomorrow. You can bet you'll see pictures on my blog if it does! For now, I'm heading to the store for storm provisions. We just totally freak at the chance of weather like yours. xoxo Frozen Nancy

Isn't there a book called The Endless Winter? If not, then I should write one. We're suppose to get another round tonight and tomorrow!

We didn't get anything from the last storm. Still a little bit of snow from the one before.
The sun is shining today, but the temps are very frigid. Had a trip planned for grocery shopping today but decided to stay in. I think tomorrow is supposed to be warmer.
Less than a month till Spring. Although I keep remembering Easter 1978!! Big ice storm! We were without power several days, which also meant no water because we were on our own deep well. Interesting week. The kids loved it!! Naturally!
