Last week I had an appointment at my hair stylist's. This is a photo I took of the front entrance to her place a couple of years ago. . . isn't it cute?
I didn't know that I would have a great surprise when I entered the door to her shop that day!
As I stepped inside, I saw "the boys" waiting for me!!!
Debbie has called her pugs "the boys" ever since she got them a few years ago. They are brothers. Buster is on the left and Bo is the cutie on the right.
Buster is the calm one- - - a bit on the reserved side.
Bo, on the other hand, wants to check every one out. . . up close. Plus, he's pretty active. . . but in a good way.
Here's Debbie letting Bo know that she thinks he's pretty handsome!!
Bo and Buster were visiting Debbie's shop that day because. . .
they were having the wood floors refinished at home.
Buster and Bo are not only cute and sweet. . . .they are smart, too! See how they obey when Debbie told them to "sit"!!!
Now, see how great they were when she said, "Stay!"
Then, when she said "COME". . . .
they raced across the room in a flash!! What goooood dogs!
THE STONE RABBIT and Twiggy listened patiently as I went on and on about how cool it was that Buster and Bo could do so many neat tricks. When, I stopped to catch my breathe, they informed me they could do some tricks, too. They said all I needed to do was to shout out the commands and they would follow them.
"SIT" !!!
And they did!!!!
"STAY"!
And they DID that, too !!!!
I was very surprised at what I had seen so far. I thought I would make it a little harder by saying. . . . . .
"DOWN"!!!
And DOWN they went!!!
These two were holding up to the command challenge! That's when I thought I'd take it up a notch. I told them to. . . .
"ROLL OVER! " And they promptly rolled over!!!
They were pretty pleased with themselves, but I wasn't finished. . .
"ROLL BACK OVER!"
Yep, they did just that!!!
They were stepping up to every request I made of them, but while I was trying to think of one more difficult command challenge . . .
Twiggy let me know she'd had enough. THE STONE RABBIT told me he was ready to stop, too. He has a stiff back and those "roll over" requests about did him in!
DANA
You always make me smile with your posts!

How adorable...those pug faces are just so cute. Who knew a cat could do tricks? I knew the Stone Rabbit could but a kitty? Twiggy must be extra smart - beside being one lucky cat. Getting ready to watch Dancing. OH my gosh...I loved Lost last night. But now what? Do you watch Man Men? They have the 60's down to a T. I just love looking at the clothes! Gotta go. DWTS is on!!!xoxo TVjunkie Nancy

Twiggy and the Stone Rabbit sure are a talented duo! Loved all of their tricks!

How sweet, love there little pug face....Did you have fun on Friday?

Stone Rabbit has certainly been a wonderful companion for your and Twiggy. His long ears probably help in hearing your commands.
BTW, there is a vaccine for Shingles and my advice is to RUN, not walk, to the nearest doctor's office to get one. It is NOT FUN!

Good morning Dana, I adore your post today. The pugs are so cute and well trained. I need to work on Cheri' as she is fairly undisciplined right now. She is getting better but we are weak and she knows it. HA!
I am amazed at your very disciplined Stone Rabbit and Twiggy. BIG smile. Honestly Dana, this is the cutest post. I just smiled throughout your post. I have to know, does Twiggy do all those things for real? Your photos just knock me out.
How was your haircut!!! Laughing. I just had my hair cut too. A new hair dresser! that is scary right? My sister talked me into going to this shop as walk ins. We both had a good haircut but mine is REAL short. Short and Perky! I am trying to adjust to the change. Every time I look in the mirror I squeal. Who is that? One fact remains. My hair grows like a weed and the weeds are winning around here. HA! I think I like it though.
Love you and I love this great post.
Jeanne
PS: Thank you for thinking I was a hottie. I laughed when I saw that photo. I remember thinking I needed to lose weight back then. I would die for that weight now. Seriously, I probably would die of malnutrition!!! HA!.
How are your cake baking and decorating classes doing?

Buster & Bo are such cute little guys. And it looks like TSR and Twiggy can show them a trick or two ;)

The Stone Rabbit and Twiggy can certainly show my "boys" a trick or two. They can be so unruly at times that I call them "Yahoos". So what are you teaching them next?

Dana, You might want to consider submitting Twiggy and the Stone Rabbit in the contest to find America's most talented pets. I enclose the address for the video of the current winner. I don't know- I think your "pets" sure have a chance at next year's contest! They are pretty well-trained!!!

Dana,
While Bo and Buster are cute there is no comparison between them and Twiggy and The Stone Rabbit who are very sweet friends. You can see it in their faces! When you get the chance, come on over to see my post on Outdoor Wednesday and see what I'm wearing! LOL!

Jean

Those pugs are so cute! I love seeing their little pudgy bodies sitting so intently.
But your babies are just as talented, Dana!

Hi Dana, We price our own plants. Mine were reasonable at $1. and the very small ones 50 cents. I bought a red climbing rose for $3. (a pretty good size) and some rhubarb for $4.,a mature plant. It takes rhubarb quite a while to have some to cut. This will produce next year. a chives plant for $1. and five free blackeyed susans. The prices are reasonable. Our profit after expenses was $657.75. That was from 9-12 noon.
Thank you for your nice compliments all of the time Dana. You always put a big smile on my face. Your friendship means a lot to me. I have plenty of time when I just rest. I admit to being out and about a lot though. We have always been that way. My sister Carmen expected me to be around lots more than we are. ( I think)
My pup is begging to go outside so I better go. I hope your weather cools off a bit. We never have temps that warm up here on the mountain. However, in town they do.
Love, jeanne

Dana, I had no doubt you would have wonderful pets (uh, and friend) that can behave so well! Plus, you can do anything you set your mind to!
Thanks so much for your visit. Your comments always lift me up!
