A couple of days ago, my Halloween decorations were starting to scream at me to put them away!!! Well, most of them were. . . .these sweet little items were not!!! They just came to live with us a week ago. . . a hand-painted gift from my DIL and the Grand Girl!! Aren't they cute?
My DIL found a variety of wine glasses at a thrift store, then. . . .
she and the Grand Girl let their creative juices flow! THE STONE RABBIT is showing you one of the battery operated tea lights that go inside of each little beauty. They are amazing in the evening. . . when it's dark. The little orange flickering candles bring the little pumpkins to life!
SOOOOO.....as I put away my Halloween decor, that also meant taking several seasonal shirts of mine to the cedar closet in the attic!
Access to the attic is through this door, which is located in the laundry room.
As you can see, the litter box is located in front of the attic door.
Entering the laundry room with my left hand loaded with hangers of Halloween shirts, I reached for the handle on the litter box with my free hand. . . picking it up and swinging it back to the right of me. . . moving it so I could open the attic door. When I first picked up the litter box, the thought that immediately crossed my mind was "MAN, that sure is heavy. . . and I just changed the litter a day ago".
I was wrapping my mind around how often those kitties had been using their little potty while, at the same time lifting and swinging the little box around me. . . . then a cat shot out of it!!!
We were both pretty surprised!!!
That poor Twiggy had been inside, quietly doing her business when her little throne suddenly became airborne!!!
I have to say I started laughing like a fool in the middle of that laundry room. The more I thought about what she was doing when "lift off" occurred, the more spasmodic I became.
When I finally calmed down, I could hardly wait to share the story with my husband who was in another part of the house. The moment I started reliving the laundry room events with him, my uncontrollable laughter started up again. Tears were rolling down my face and I could hardly get the words out. While I was close to rolling on the floor in hysterics, he stood there with a puzzled half smile on his face....like he knew it was something funny, but he couldn't understand what I was saying.
Sometimes. . . ya just have to be there.
Actually, I am chuckling up a storm as I shared this with you. . . Twiggy, on the other hand, didn't see the humor in it, either.
THE STONE RABBIT thought it was a great story. He and I have the same kind of warped humor. I'm sure that's one reason we've always gotten along so well. . . that and the fact that he doesn't need a litter box.
Oh Dana, I totally get it! I really do! Something happened with one of our chickens the other day that sent me into hysterics. When I tried to explain to Bobby G. it didn't seem that funny anymore but I was laughing so hard, like you with tears rolling down my cheeks, that he just grinned at me. You see, he likes to hear me laugh. :) Anywho...wish you could have joined me and my new blogging friend on our countryside jaunt this past weekend. We were gone from dawn to dusk and have another trip planned later this week. I am showing her places she didn't know about and vice-versa. Love the Halloween glasses! xoxo

Dana, you have me laughing like crazy. Poor Twiggy, I wonder if she was finished with her duty or did you scare the .... out of her. I know that was mean to say but it is your fault that I see the absolute hilarity of the situation. I just told Bill about it and he laughed too. But not nearly as hard as I did. What is it with these guys. Still Laughing.
I love the Halloween glasses. The perfect gift for you. I put my Halloween stuff away already. The pumpkins on the mantel just get turned around. Easy!!! I did put away more though. How do you get Twiggy to stand next to the Stone rabbit. That is such a cute shot.
Did I tell you we bought a new 7.5 LIGHTED Christmas tree. I am so excited about it. If I did tell you, just chalk it up to my age. HA! I use that excuse for every wacky thing I do. I kind of like it! HA!
I bowled a 176 today in league. A year ago I could hardly hit 100. Years ago my average was in the high 150's. It has been a struggle getting back into bowling after so many years. I do it for Bill, he loves it.
I better get visiting my dear friend.
Love, Jeanne

Hi Dana, Poor Twiggy...I hope she has recovered and thanks for a good laugh! I appreciate you visiting and the sweet comment you left about my Mom Cave. No, I do not have a TV in this room. Keeping up with all the wonderful blogs is my entertainment now.
Take care and so great to "meet" you.
Hugs, Sherry

Twiggy is such a beautiful cat, especially those green eyes! Maybe you should put one of those flickering candles in the litter box so you can see when she's in there:) Thanks for the laugh!

Thanks for your visit Dana. I came over to tell you how much I love your header. It is the perfect Fall look with the Stone Rabbit as the center of attention. I know he just loves that.
How is the new roof coming along?

I can assure you that this made me laugh. The thing that made me laugh was thinking of how hard you were laughing. I have a clear visual.
I'm also laughing at Penny with her legs crossed and Jeanne laughing. Jeanne makes me laugh every day. You girls should "take it on the road". I'll be sure to come to your comedy show.
Oh, I really like your new banner.♥
