Just a week ago I featured my precious Frankie Cat on my Pink Saturday post.
Frankie. . .always near by.
My little buddy.
I can't believe that in just seven days I am sharing this. . . my amazing and sweet and gentle and loving Frankie Cat died this morning.
He appeared to be the picture of health. . .and yet. . .sometime during the wee hours of the morning. . .he died.
I found him. . .still. . .on the floor in the dining room. . . by the patio door.
I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
My beloved Frankie was dead.
Just a few hours earlier he was playing with his cat sister, Twiggy. Later, he was in the "office" with me. . .on "his" table. . hanging out while I watched the late news.
And then. . .in just a few hours I found my beloved Frankie......lifeless.
It's been a really sad day for me.
I loved that kitty so much.
My heart aches over his totally unexpected departure.
As a good friend of mine put it recently. . .I'm crying "Pink Tears". . . lots and lots and lots of tears.
I hope to do a much better tribute to Frankie soon. . one that will be there forever to help me not forget all of the wonderful memories I have about such a special fur bundle from heaven. BUT for right now. . .I just can't deal with that. Right now. . . I just need to cry some more Pink Tears.

Oh how sad - I'm so sorry Dana. I've never had a pet die like that - it had to be a horrible shock. He and Twiggy are both inside cats so you think a heart attack. I'll be thinking of you all day. xoxo Nancy

Oh, Dana, I am so sad for you today. If you can find any comfort, be thankful that he didn't have a slow, lingering end. He had such personality and curiosity! I know that this Pink Saturday is truly a sad one for you.

Dana, I'm so sorry. I have no words of comfort, even though I've been through it myself. It really does just take time to start feeling somewhat "normal" again, but please know we're all thinking about you. ~Melissa

Sometimes cats are good at hiding an illness. We had one of the cats at the shelter pass quickly and didnt even know he was ill. Treasure every day with your pets is my motto. I know he is in a good place and had a good life.

Time and tears will make the pain easier to bear.

Darlin'...so sorry you are going through such sadness. Not much I can say except be thankful you had your kitty for awhile and know how happy you made him, just as he made you so happy.

I saw the Stone Rabbit crying and wondered why. I am so very sorry to hear about Frankie - he was a cutie and sounds like he was a sweetie. It's tough to lose our furbabies - but unexpectedly must have really been a shock. I have a page in my journal somewhere - when we had to put our Golden down - she wasn't even 6 years old yet but got cancer - anyway - I did a page of notes of as many stories as I could - because I didn't want to forget it. It felt so much like I would. But, like you say, when it's time you will. My heart goes out to you. Hugs to you and yours. Jenn

I am so sorry, how devastating that must have been for you. Without any warning...gone. It is hard to loose these pets we come to love so much. (been there done that)
I guess those are the risks we take when we raise a pet, but WORTH it all, just as your Frankie was for you.
WORTH IT ALL
