Beverly's theme for Pink Saturday this weekend. . .SNOWMEN!!!!
I love snowmen and have TONS of them, but I haven't pulled out my collection yet because I'm still loving my many Santas. . .(I was reallllly late getting them out this year).
HOWEVER. . .Izzy, the Grand Dog, and I want to show you the cute little snowmen we spotted in a neighbor's yard this morning!
Last week, we had some really icky weather roll through. First, we had some rain on Wedsnesday night, then it froze to the streets and sidewalks and driveways and parking lots . . .and was followed by 3-4 inches of snow and 55 miles per hour winds. It was pretty nasty on Thursday morning around here.
Anyway, as you can see in the yard above, there's a bit of that snow left. So, THE STONE RABBIT and I decided to build you a snowman!! Sadly, the snow is dry and very icy hard. . .so the 6 foot fella we'd hoped to erect for you is more like 6 inches!! He may be short, but he's still pretty cute with his chocolate chip eyes!
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. . .and that you find some time to build a snowman or two!!
Please visit Beverly's blog, HOW SWEET THE SOUND, where you will find a long list of other bloggers who are ready to share their snowmen or PINKS with you this week!!
DANA
So cute Dana! I love your little snowman.
We didn't get as much snow as you did...there are still a few traces though. When we were in JC the other day, it looked like they had more snow than us. We had wind in 60's. That was aplenty! Can't imagine what it would have been like with blowing snow.
Would love to get some moisture though. The ferry is closed at Grafton IL!! Not enough water in the rivers. When we crossed the Daniel Boone bridge at Chesterfield not long ago, it looked like you could walk across the Missouri with little difficulty!

Izzy - you are sooo cute. Did your little paws get cold making that snowman. When I first saw him I thought you made a little snowbird! (Don't tell Dana that!) Hope all four of you - Izzy, The SR, The Snowman/bird have a great weekend. I will be with the yayas tonight and tell Dana to come on down and join us! I'd also like to order some good weather for the weekend up there. Three of my kiddos will be traveling through MO on their way home from Illinois and I'd like a safe trip for them. Okey Dokey?! xoxo Nancy

Dana you are so cute!!! I love the snowman you and Izzy built. :) No baby yet! Just now got off phone with son and he said she had been feeling crampy all day so maybe soon. Since her Mom will be there, we will probably wait a week or so and let them get settled in before we hop the train and head up to N.Y. (at least that's the plan) Thank you for the gift of your friendship this past year and years. Happy Happy New Year. xo

Hello Dana, I am so impressed that you and the Stone Rabbit managed to make a snowman out of a tad of snow. He looks like he is about to collapse. HA! Someone might eat his eyes out. Poor little snowman.
We saw a lot of snow today when we drove to our 'sort of' local ski resort to see our daughter Christina. She is here from Jax, FL. with her church youth group to ski this weekend. It is nearly a two hour drive there but Christina needed a hug. She had to put her dog Tanner down the day after Christmas. He was not yet five years old but he had liver cancer of all things. It is so sad and she was so glad we were there for a bit to cheer her up.
We are so glad to be home but our trip was really awesome. We did not have snow but it was cold. We are finally getting our jet lag in control. The time change was a hard adjustment. I will post more about our trip down the Rhine but today was about the riverboat. I hope no one minds that I combined it with PS.
I hope you had a great Christmas with your family Dana. The New year is almost here. I pray that our country finds a way to survive for the next four years.
Have a Happy and Healthy New Year my dear blogging friend.
Love, Jeanne

I love snowmen too. This year i was sick right after thanksgiving and didnt get a chance to decorate. So my poor snowmen did not get unpacked. I did buy a couple of new ones though. Cant wait for next year. I think I will decorate before Thanksgiving next year to enjoy them all longer

Awwww - they are all so cute - especially the melting one with the chocolate chip eyes - what a clever idea. I'll have to tell my grandkids about that. Happy New Year :)

Dana, pretty cute little snowman with the sign and chip eyes. Looks like we're going to be getting around 5" next week if Gary Leezak is right!! Then you can build a life size one. The neighbors display is pretty cute.

I love your little snowman! No snow here in our part of CA and my decorative snowmen didn't make it out of the box this year. It's a "pink celebrate the new granddaughter" Saturday for me this week.
Happy 2013!

Short is good. Some people try to say I am short, but I don't know what they mean. Both of my feet reach to the ground.
Your Santa gave me a big smile - especially chocolate chip eyes. I like the way you think.
Happy Pink Saturday, dear Dana and TSR, too.♥
