Recently, our friend Michelle (front row, second from left. . .next to me in my PINK lei!!! :), hosted her "Second Annual Mimosa Party"!!!
We gathered with Michelle and her three sweet dogs (left to right: Gracie, Moose and Glory) to celebrate the . . .
beautiful PINK blooms on her. . .
gorgeous Mimosa tree!!
Of course, part of that celebration included awesome brunchy food and to sip on delicious Mimosas!!
Michelle made two wonderful egg casseroles and the rest of us filled in with muffins, fruit, veggies and. . .
yummy dessert!! One of the guests brought these awesome treats!!!
Glory's beautiful face wasn't showing in our group shot. . .here she is, wearing her PINK lei. Moose has on his orange one!! All three of Michelle's pups are so sweet!!
THE STONE RABBIT and I were reminiscing about the Mimosa party.
We tried to recreate a bit of the feeling by enjoying one of our pretty periwinkle plants and a glass of OJ, minus the champagne. While it's no where near the same as Michelle's great party, we enjoyed our quiet time on the patio!
I'm nearly done with the second longest book I've ever read. . . PILLARS OF THE EARTH. I love it. . .actually, I love it so much I don't want it to end!! Fortunately, Ken Follett is a prolific writer, so I have plenty more of his books to look forward to!
Something else I'm looking forward to is another week of PINK SATURDAY!! Be sure to visit Beverly at HOW SWEET THE SOUND, because there will be a whole bunch of other bloggers who are ready to share their pinks with you!!
HAPPY PINK SATURDAY!!
DANA

Hi Dana, I want to go to a Mimosa party. Michelle's Mimosa tree is stunning. What a lovely idea to celebrate with friends. Everyone looks like they are having a wonderful time. In fact a Mimosa sounds so good I am going to have one. I happen to have the ingredients in the fridge. Unless the champagne has gone bad. I'll find out in a few minutes. Her dogs are darling in their lei's.
I have not read this book. Now I am going to find it and put it on my Kindle. If you love it, I am sure I will too. Now for my Mimosa to celebrate any ole thing. HA!
Love,
Jeanne

You always have the best food at your events! Pillars of the Earth is one of my favorite books! I read the first two books of his century trilogy this year and they're not as good but I'd still recommend them. Hope to see you today at B-W. We are just shopping this year, not setting up--hooray! Have a great weekend. ~Roberta

A mimosa? I am ready, so please pour one for me. I'll bring quiche. And, don't you and Jeanne started sipping without me.
Happy Pink (and bubbly) Saturday.♥

That's a clever party. The Mimosa trees are so beautiful. I'm going to have to look for that sorbet!

What a perfectly delightful summer party! It looks as if the puppies enjoyed it as much as their people.

I came back to tell you that we have that book (Pillar's of the Earth)in our collection of books. What a surprise. I was going to the library this morning to get it and Bill said we already had it. I am starting it today. It is a big book. I know I will love it if you do.
I too wish I could go to the big sale with you and Bonnie.
Love, Jeanne
