It seems impossible to believe that in less than one week......Thanksgiving will have come and gone!! It kinda scares me as to all I have to accomplish in just a few short days to be ready for the feast !
However, while I love Thanksgiving. . .I have to admit that I REALLY love Christmas!! I'm so glad I have a few friends who do, too, because it's so much fun heading to the area antique malls and small shops for their wonderful Christmas Open Houses!
Among the special shops we enjoy visiting during this time of the year are the ones located in Greenwood, MO. It's an annual tradition to head there on the first day of their open houses and enjoy a little lunch together in the tea room located in the Greenwood Antique Mall.
Last weekend a friend and I had planned on visiting Des Moines, IA, for a "junk show" called JUNK JUBILEE JINGLES. However, the threat of bad weather kept us from making the trip. So, in order to get our "junk fix", we spent Thursday and Friday hitting wonderful antique shops in Olathe, KS and Parkville, MO!
We also shared a couple of meals, including a delicious pizza and salad at Spin Pizza in Olathe!
I didn't buy a lot of treasures, but did love the few items I brought home. A couple of great old baskets, a couple of vintage Christmas lights, a vintage tree skirt, a silver chafing dish and a beautiful silver garland were my "finds"!
THE STONE RABBIT loves Christmas, too. He was especially pleased with this new Santa. I think Santa seems very happy with his new found bunny friend as well!
Please visit Beverly's blog HOW SWEET THE SOUND! There you will find a large group of other bloggers who have seasonal or PINKS to share with you this week!!
Happy PINK Saturday!
DANA
Sounds like what my sister and I do every other weekend. We go the antique malls and enjoy their tea rooms. I do not cook much anymore, but have a daughter-in-law that is an excellent one. Will enjoy my turkey with them. Best wishes to you and family.

Hi Dana, Love your mode of operation. Antique malls and tea rooms. We used to spend a lot of time doing the same thing. I was always searching for a treasure to sell. I still love to antique shop. The hunt is the thrill of it all. Love your photos and great finds. Remember the pink wool blanket I bought when we did the antique festival? I am using it for the company who will be here for Thanksgiving. We will have 15 for dinner. A full house. Smile.
Wishing you and your precious family a wonderful Thanksgiving. Don't worry you will get it all done. You always do.
Love, Jeanne
