These days prior to Christmas are filled to the brim with busyness. Cleaning, decorating, shopping, wrapping, cooking..... so many activities seem to take priority over the truly important moments of the season.
This morning, before the day became crowded with "things to do" I was able to stand outside and LOOK at the sun rise. What a spectacular gift to us. Surrounded in God's beauty, it was the perfect time to pray for the many people I have on my prayer list these days.
As I was fixing breakfast, I realized that I hadn't even taken the time to use any of the Christmas dishes I had so proudly purchased many years ago....many of them on the "China Club" plan our local Jones Store used to offer us!! Sadly, both the plan and the Jones Store are gone....but I've still got my great dishes and they need to be used and enjoyed.
Nothing like having breakfast with THE STONE RABBIT and Santa!

I eat a lot of cereal for breakfast, but alone. No stone rabbit at my house.

Hello Dana, Your photo of the sunrise is beautiful. Love your dancing Santas on your header. I have fun memories of your posts of the dancing Santas.
Your Christmas dishes are so pretty. Mine are of trees as well. In fact my post is all about my Christmas dishes. I'm very partial to Christmas trees on anything.
Tomorrow night we are having a Christmas party for our bowling and Senior Games friends. Thirty-five guests and everyone brings a dish to pass. Easy and always delicious.
Have a very good wesssnd
Love,
Jeanne
